Frequently Asked Questions about Our Videography Services:

Many of our clients are interested in knowing how we will film their event and how it will affect them on their big day...

1) What equipment do you use?

Capturing memories prides itself on always using up-to-date professional equipment.  We use Canon XL1/GL2 digital video camcorders ensuring a crisp, clear picture.  Wireless microphones allow for excellent audio.

2) When will our event DVD be ready? 

Four (4)- six (6) weeks is generally our turnover time for a fully edited master DVD no matter what your event. Should you only need "raw" footage of your event turnover time is generally one (1)- two (2) weeks. That too, would be given to you in any format you choose (DVD/VHS/Mini DV tape/Hi8).

3) How many videographers will there be at our event?

This question depends on the package you choose. We have a variety of packages to offer you to suit your budget. Please contact us to discuss the variety of packages we offer.

 

4) Is it really important to have a videographer?

Wedding videography is a relatively new phenomenon. Within the past few years video technology has made it possible to capture the sound and motion of any special event. Think about your baby pictures or pictures of your childhood. Do you really remember the emotions you were feeling or what you sounded like? Videography captures all that and more.  It captures many moments of your special event that you missed because your attention was focused elsewhere.  Videography gives you the opportunity to enjoy special moments in motion for a lifetime!

5) I'm not comfortable about a camera being around at my event, will the camera be obtrusive?

We prefer to meet with our clients prior to your event. We will discuss any requests and dispel any worries you may have. After all, it is your special day and the last thing we want to do is intrude on your day. We don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. We are very proud to say that clients who were initially unsure as whether they should have a video, have all told us that they were so pleased that they did, and cannot think of a better way to remember everything that happened on their special day. Your special event is worth celebrating, and it's really only a few hours out of your life! If you choose not to have a video, you may find that you later regret it.

6) Do you set up bright lights around the room that would be obtrusive?

No, we do not set up bright lights around the room. However, we do use a camera headlight that mounts on top of our cameras should the area be dark enough demanding their use. If it's a well lit setting, we won't need to use any type of additional lighting at all. Again, if we use lights, they would not be obtrusive to your surroundings. They're only there to fullfill the amount of light needed to satisfy the digital image quality.
